ADI-R
ADI-R Training
Revised Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R; Lord, Rutter, & LeCouteur, 1994) The Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) is one of the gold standard diagnostic tools in autism diagnosis, featuring a semi-structured interview format. This comprehensive assessment focuses on all areas of concern in autism, including developmental issues, language use, social communication differences, and restricted and repetitive behaviors and interests. Our three-day training provides in-depth knowledge on the administration and coding of the ADI-R. The ADI-R training will be conducted by highly experienced trainers: Emma Woodhouse, Jack Hollingdale, and Prof. Dr. Onur Burak DURSUN. The training will be held via Zoom. You will receive the training materials (the ADI-R manual and algorithm form) via email.
Child psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, speech and language therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, and child development specialists can participate in the training.
You can register by selecting the training you want to attend and sending us an email with your full name, profession, and where you work. After the evaluation process, your participation result will be sent to you via mail.
In order to receive a certificate, participants must attend all three days of the training. Please only apply if you can attend the entire training.
No. The fee includes an ADI-R booklet and an algorithm form, which are sufficient for completing the training.
Training materials will be sent to you via email within one week before the course.
You cannot diagnose autism solely using the ADI-R. ADI-R is a gold standard diagnostic tool, designed as part of a broader clinical evaluation for autism.
In clinical practice, the person diagnosing autism is expected to be trained in differential diagnoses. In Turkey, this is usually a child psychiatrist. However, other professionals are often involved in different stages of the evaluation process (such as conducting ADOS-2/ADI-R).
After completing the ADI-R training, participants will receive a certificate indicating their participation. However, before using the tool in clinical or research settings, it is recommended to consult with an experienced ADI-R administrator.
